Be My Guest
Since we aim to encourage mid- to longer-term visits to Berlin, we are currently partnered with Be-My-Guest.com, a small, professionally-run business that offers visitors everything from house-shares and boutique rental apartments in various areas of the city.
Click the logo to see their current Special Offers on Berlin accommodation, including discounts for limited periods – great for a cheap weekend, a week-long stay or even longer stays of up to a month.
All discounts are usually upwards from 10% - plus if you enter the promotional code “Slow Travel Berlin” into the Be-My-Guest booking system you can obtain an extra 5% discount on all bookings.
Context Tours
Context is a network of scholars and specialists—in disciplines including archaeology, art history, cuisine, urban planning, history, environmental science, and classics — who, in addition to their normal work as professors and researchers, design and lead in-depth walking seminars for small groups of intellectually curious travelers.
Context’s seminar approach means that their walks are narrative participatory experiences, and with no more than five other people, you’ll get to participate in an intimate, hands-on, conversational experience. The company adheres to the precepts of sustainable travel and invest in programs that mitigate the effect of tourism (they are a certified B Corporation – a new kind of company which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems). You can scan a list of their various Berlin tours here.
Art Connect Berlin
ARTCONNECT BERLIN is a networking platform for the creative community of Berlin, a free tool for Berliners which provides you with an easy way to connect with others by sharing your online portfolio, tagging yourself by your skills, and find or be found by them. You can also post about jobs, material, studios and general questions about Berlin and it’s creative scene.
ARTCONNECT BERLIN has been created by artists and people related to the creative scene in Berlin, who wanted to build a tool they needed to use and share it with others. You can read our interview with founder Julia Mari Bernaus here.
